Register Online
Conference participation is limited to those attendees whose panels or posters have been accepted through the proposal process or by special invitation only.
Participants who have not registered by that time will have to register on-site.
Conference Hours
Check-in begins on Thursday, February 23 at 4 p.m. with poster set up for the Opening Night poster session between 4 and 5 p.m. Sessions take place on Friday and Saturday mornings. Keynote speaker and reception occur on Saturday late afternoon. Closing evening posters and reception (with music) will be held on Saturday, February 25.
Conference Location and Lodging
The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina. A block of rooms has been reserved until Thursday, January 26, 2012 for our conference attendees. To make reservations at the Hyatt Regency please call 1-888-421-1442 and tell them you need to make reservations for the 2012 Conference on Research Innovations in Early Intervention or visit the hotel website. You can change your reservations at any time by going to the same website listed above. If you prefer, you may call the Hyatt directly at (888) 421-1442 or (402) 592-6464. All reservations must be secured with a credit card. Also, please note: because we have had such a great response to CRIEI this year, we expect the rooms at the Hyatt to fill quickly, so make your hotel reservations soon!
If you book your room by December 30, you are eligible for the following special CRIEI conference rates:
- $185/night + state and local tax (single or double occupancy) for a standard room
- $220/night + state and local tax (single or double occupancy) for a deluxe view room
Transportation and Parking
The Hyatt Mission Bay is located approximately five miles, or 15 minutes, from San Diego (SAN) airport. The Cloud 9 Shuttle runs 24 hours daily. Fare is approximately $13.00 USD per person/per way. Call 800-974-8885 for reservations. Taxi fare is approximately $20.00 USD from the San Diego airport. Parking is available at the Hyatt at the rates of $20.00 for overnight self-parking and $25.00 for overnight valet parking.
Meals
Conference registration fee includes 2 continental breakfasts and breaks and 3 receptions with heavy hors d’oeuvres. If you have special meal requirements, and have not already notified us through the registration process, please let us know at least one week prior to the conference.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
A full refund of registration fees, less a $50.00 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing and received by Friday, February 10, 2012. No refunds will be made after that date. Please note that if you fail to cancel by the deadline and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment. A $50 fee will be charged for returned checks. Should something unforeseen happen, KU Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel the conference and return all fees. The liability of the University of Kansas is limited to the registration fee. The University of Kansas will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.
